Learn the next step in improving your #listening #skills? Today’s tip is comprehensive listening.

Welcome to ProTech Voice's English Grammar and Communication quick tips.

Today's quick tip is: Comprehensive listening

Comprehensive listening is when you are attentively listening to remember what the speaker has said and be able to recall what they said. With this type of listening you are trying to learn the situation. Some examples are when you are listening to your doctor’s medical report, news reporters detailing on breaking news or current weather conditions, or a support service representative listening to a customer.

Today’s activity: Try to focus attentively to a conversation whether it is in person or on TV and be able to recall what the speaker has said. By doing this it will help you be a better listener. Someone a person can count on for detailed accurate summarization of the conversation; this is comprehensive listening. Now, use this new type of listening with family and friends and enjoy watching your relationship with others blossom by simple taking the time to listen to them. Join us next time as we will look at another type of listening skill.
